Without Deviation from the norm… progress is not possible

About

Welcome to the dojo of the Deviant Ninja. This site is meant to serve as a medium to enlighten, advise, inform, discuss and debate a bright and promising vision of the future of humanity.

The scope of this site is to keep you on the cutting edge of where humanity can go if we decide to travel that road. It is a future beginning right now and will come to fruition in our lifetime. But with out deviation... progress is not possible.

Journey to the Edge of the Universe - National Geographic

Journey to the Edge of the Universe on National Geographic will be on this weekend on Sunday at 7pm. This is a must watch show for anyone remotely interested in space and cosmology. If this does not expand your horizon and open your mind then you might be a tree. Hopefully this may shed some light on the topic of Anthropics. After the show I will be reviewing it with any notes I take. Make sure not to miss this one.

Large Hardon Collider: Delays for the LHC

Written by Deviant Ninja on Dec 1st, 2008 | Filed under: Physics

All the bark and no bite because of a helium leak. How unfortunate we must wait longer to unravel the secrets of our reality.

A little recap. The LHC took a time out in September.. nine days after it was first fully powered up. The culprit… a helium leak caused by an electrical fault. The world’s most powerful particle accelerator is designed to crash protons into each other to test fundamental physics theories and help understand the nature of matter and what makes up all that is real to us. The machine is located at the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) and extends into France and Switzerland.

The accelerator operations group at CERN has two possible plans to fire up the LHC. According to document Jorg Weninger, a member of the operations group, “Plan A” is to get the action going by late summer 2009, with the beam energy and intensity limited to avoid another accident. “Plan B” delayed switching on the beam until there had been a complete upgrade to the pressure-relief system. Under plan b the LHC wouldn’t be rockin’ and rollin’ until 2010.

Frustrating when so much is at stake here. Stay Deviant.

Wave Farm: WTF is a Wave Farm?

Written by Deviant Ninja on Nov 23rd, 2008 | Filed under: Energy, Technology

What the hell is a wave farm and how does one farm a wave? Furthermore, why would one farm a wave?

That my friends is a wave farm. The farm is an emerging technology to help reduce the use of harmful energy emissions and start utilizing the resources provided by the universe to power us up. If we keep our current energy strategy we will be doomed. The sun will take a giant shit on us. We really need to manage our time on this rock and should not jeopardize our chances of survival any more than they are already jeopardized. In fact we should learn to work with our environment so we can control and manipulate it to maximize our chances for survival. This is another post in and of itself.

The United States Navy has teamed up with Ocean Power Technologies and created a small farm in Hawaii. OPT has installed one of its PowerBuoy units one mile off the Kaneohe Bay Marine Corp Base. There are plans for more install in the future to generate more power. This works to help the environment and as a military strategy. The Navy will not have to rely on ships to deliver fuel to them and can really bunker themselves in and not worry about supply lines being destroyed as a result. Note: consider for global domination…

This is certainly a step in the right direction to ensure humanity’s survival and exploration into the cosmos.

India’s Space Program is Catching Up

Written by Deviant Ninja on Nov 22nd, 2008 | Filed under: Genetics, Introspection, Uncategorized

I’m back from a much needed break. And I hate to tell you America… but we are in trouble. There are countries in the world with triple to quadruple our population that are slowly catching up and may one day surpass us as the most powerful technological nation on this planet. With these numbers we will no doubt one day be at a significant disadvantage. Unless we retain our superior technological power and relentless innovation we will not be able to keep up. We will not have the cutting edge of technology and this scares me.

Maybe I’m just paranoid.

Maybe other countries in the world developing this technology will work collectively and we will be able to get off this rock faster. Maybe not though. I propose a world-wide collective space program. Why fight it? We all need to get out of here sooner than later. By collaborating 100% we can find the means to this end at a much faster rate.

The Chandrayaan 1 has been orbiting the moon, carrying its payload the MIP. The dropping of the Moon Impact Probe (MIP), weighing about 30kg, is the first part of this mission and has been successfully completed. According to the BBC, “For the next two years, Chandrayaan 1 will map a three-dimensional atlas of the Moon and also check for the presence of water-ice with the help of instruments built by India and other countries including the US, Britain and Germany.” The Indian flag was also planted on the moon. Way to go India.

With more and more countries becoming increasingly technologically advanced there is need for complete disclosure with our allies. Those countries contributing resources and research towards humanity’s space exploration should be recognized as a single unit and treated as such. Could you imagine what we would know and find out?

Stay Deviant.
